Meal Prep Sunday and Protein

Meal Prep Sunday! I actually do just a little prep a few days in a row. Yesterday I steamed a lot of vegetables and packaged some of them in the freezer.

Today I pulled a few things out of the freezer; the Open Nature Ground Chicken, the Jones Natural Chicken sausages, and my new favorite, Gluten Free English Muffins by Glutino.

I coat the English Muffins with just a tab of butter and raw honey, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It's my treat. I always want more but remind myself I can have more next time!

The lunches I pack this week for work will be mostly soup in a thermos.

I take some cooked ground turkey or chicken, about 3-4 ounces, and heat up with about 1 cup of Imagine Organic Chicken broth, 1 cup of mixed vegetables or whatever vegetable I have on hand, and whatever spices I am in the mood for. If I'm going to add carbs, it's usually 1/4 to 1/2 cup of steamed rice, or 1-2 cut up Garden of Life sprouted corn tortillas.

I include protein with every meal and simply cap my calories at 1400-1500 and then everything falls into place, especially when healthy options are selected, and just a dab of healthy fats like olive oil, grass fed butter, coconut oil, and every day I take my Full Mega Omega 3 deep sea fish oil high in EPA and DHA.

I include my 1st Phorm vitamins, micro nutrients, greens and reds, among a few other specialized supplements to resolve my specific issues.

Many of you are asking, am I still a 1st Phorm rep? Yes! Absolutely because I use their products daily and they are part of what keeps me healthy!

But back to meal prep and meal planning:

I include protein at every meal while capping my calories, otherwise I would eat too much every day!

My favorite protein and what I use nearly daily are Chicken, Turkey, Egg Whites, 1st Phorm Collagen and Level-1.
