Flex Friday, Pumpkin Protein Ice Cream recipe, and Kitty Therapy


I often think everything is too hard right now, it's tempting to quit.


But since when did we quit just because it's hard? Last night I was hurting so bad I wanted to cry, but I got my things done and went to sleep. I woke up and thought, it's time to keep going. Pick one thing and let's go. Rest when you need to rest.


I took my pictures in the My TransPhormation App. along with the assessment I do every week. I entered my measurments, and now all those boxes are checked. I didn't feel like doing it! I got on the scale and it was the same, but I felt lighter! Then, I took my measurements and I'm down 1/2 an inch on my waist and hips, that's a lot especially at only 5 foot tall. See, the scale doesn't always tell the true story (yet).


I went outside and took a Flex Friday picture out in the rain. Even if no one else likes the picture, Randy said, Ummmm, nice shorts. Those are his favorite shorts. They were too tight last time I tried them on.


Progress is painstakingly slow! Everyone thinks it's only them, but in reality it's this slow for everyone. We don't FEEL like progress is happening when it really is. We look at others and then our doubts and incecurities creep in.


It's the same with school and so many other things. If you need instant gratification, then most things of value are going to allude you.


I like having some fun treats to help me along like this Pumpkin Protein Ice Cream make with CTC (Cinnamon Toast Crunch) Phormula-1 Protein.

Ingredients:


  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree

  • 4 medium bananas

  • 2 scoops 1st Phorm Phormula-1 CTC protein powder

  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin spices 

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup, honey, sugar, or other sweetener of your choice.


Directions:


  • Mix all ingredients together in a blender or food processor until smooth.

  • Pour into a medium bowl, cover and freeze 4-5 hours until set.

  • Remove from freezer and let sit 10min to soften then serve.


Makes 4 servings, Nutrition per serving:

Calories: 265

Protein: 13g

Fat: 1g

Carbs: 45g
