The Thanksgiving leftovers are put away with care. The dishwasher is emptied and it's time to get on with the new day, the day now called Black Friday.
Some of us have our sights on Christmas, and the new year.
Are any malls still open today?
Apparently our big mall in Roseville is open because our mounted patrol team is working there this weekend, rain or shine.
But today is clear and shining and beautiful, if a little crisp snap in the air.
I actually enjoy doing my shopping online now, and saving the outtings for quiet things like the bike ride with Randy I posted on Strava last night and in our little Nibbles Fitness forum for members only.
Today I'm looking at the 1st Phorm Black Friday SALE, and what excites me the most is the leggings, tops, fur beanie, chocolate banana level-1 protein, and the pepperment bark combo pack!!! What should I get, because I can't get all of it? Remember, it doesn't have to be all or nothing!
But back to being thankful, as it's nothing we should ever forget...
I'm thankful for the warm fire today. I easily built it this morning because of Randy's carefully laid out kindling and paper, and nicely lined up firewood.
The lighter that was out had run out of fuel so I dug around in our utility drawer and found these match sticks that my friend Kerry gave me for Christmas in the past. I used one and said a prayer for her and her family.
Who else always remembers the person when you find something given to you? It's funny, I have a hard time remembering a name when I first meet someone, but I can remember who gave the gift even if it was the sweater from Aunt Sally 25 years ago. It's a great reminder to say a pray for them.
Does that happen to anyone else?
And yes of course, I still took my progress pictures for accountability in the My TransPhormation app.
Time flies by anyway, ready or not. Might as well always be ready.
People come and go, and time slips through our fingers like shifting sand.
When it's time to look back on your time, will you be ready? Will you do what you promised to yourself before the time is gone?
Let's make our holiday in this crazy year the best we can with what we have.
