Having a vision doesn't necessarily mean knowing the specifics about what is going to happen next. It has to do with sensing the general direction your're moving in and having hope that something good is on the horizon. It's knowing that you do have a future and a purpose, and that it is bright.
-Stormie Omartian, The power of a praying wife, December 25.
When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son. - Galatians 4:4
In this night without equal
our God wrote a sequel
To man's hopeless legend of loss.
What began in a garden cried out for pardon,
God soon would provide through a Cross....
And this heaven-sent stranger now laid in a manger,
Is God come to heal
And God's love to reveal
God in flesh now appearing, Salvation is nearing
The earth-hope for peace now has come...
In the Person of Jesus has come.
-Jack Hayford, Praise, In the Presence of God.
Come... and Behold Him!
Therefore, I'm happy for the simple Christmas on this freezing cold day in California. It's been raining and quite gusty, but the bitter cold in the air warns us of snow any minute. Randy drove a vehicle out to the main road last night. I'll do a workout here at home while the rib is roasting, and later we'll put on some music and savor our Christmas dinner, with our hope of something good on the horizon, knowing in our hearts that we have a bright future and a purpose, whatever the world might bring.

PS for those who are ready to increase their pace with nutrition and fitness in January, there will be a new challenge starting. I will be having my first complete hip replacement surgery on January 27th. The challenge will be going on, and I promise you I'll always be there in the 1st Phorm App and in the Nibbles Fitness Forum to cheer everyone on and walk the journey with you. Feel free to ask me about any of this at any time in the chat here, or just let me know how you are doing.
It's just as I always have, every day, all year, for many years now. God gave me my purpose and my vision, and this is one small part of that. That's why it doesn't matter what is going on in the world, or what season it is, or what day or what time of year, or if I'm able to walk without a limp or not, or even walk at all. What God gives me, the world can not take away.
