One thing I've noticed with people who achieve nearly anything amazing is that they don't just have passion, but have an obsession for whatever it is.
An obsession so strong, that they refuse to let other people's opinions get in the way of what they want.
They refuse to let any excuses stop them.
When they get frustrated because of obstacles that are impossible, they fight for it anyway! They think out of the box, and if they have trouble thinking of ideas they research or ask others for ideas. When asking others for ideas they are careful who they ask. They are careful who they listen to. It doesn't help to ask someone who has never achieved what they want.
I always like to say it doesn't have to be all or nothing, and that is true for working your way up to good habits. Sometimes being obsessesd too soon might be like trying to run a marathon without training first.
In order to actually run that marathon, some problem solving and getting over obstacles happen along the journey. As progress is made, obsession builds. Motivation comes from your own actions.
You can't just want it badly, and no one can do it for you.
You might have some obstacles similar to others, but your journey will be different, and you will have to find your own way to fight.
Some people, many actually, won't like it. They will think you are weird. They might think obsession is a bad thing.
The harder the fight, like for most women in mid life with weight loss and fitness, when everything seems to work against us, it will take more than wanting it badly. It will take being obsessed and doing things you might say "I can't". Instead, you have to find a way to do things anyway, even if others say you can't.
I can't even count how many times other people have said "you can't", "that's just how it is when you get older", and on and on along that vein.
If you give in to all that and the obstacles in your path that seem impossible, then you won't achieve.
If over time, what you are doing isn't working regarding fitness and fat loss, then you have to be willing to change something in your life that is harder than you ever imagined. It will be things that you said you can't do.
Then, when you finally start inching forward and you find what works it can be the most empowering feeling in the world.
It will require a fight, especially regarding people you care about who won't get it.
YOU did it. You took those steps against all the "I can't" lies. You can become obsessed because of your own progress and the believing that you can.
And then you realize that obession can be a wonderful thing. At some point, with special care and discussion, some of the people you love and who support you, might get it. They might see the bright light of happiness and passion grow in you. Better things happen in all areas of your life. You become more confident, you become stronger, you are able to do more.
It's okay. Become obessessed with something you really want.
