My favorite plan ahead meals are soups. I just made a big batch of vegetable soup with lots of cabbage and kale. I can either eat it as soup, or saute it in a pan for awhile and put a poached egg on top, or add meat. Weekends make me want to graze, so I just have to choose good little snacks like veggies, boiled eggs, or little meat and cheese plates for myself.

I appreciate you Roberta! You are a true example of perseverance. I will be doing a blog post here soon with an update. We have been helping my In-laws over the last few weeks as my Father-in-law moved into hospice care at home, and passed away this last Sunday morning. I see my badges for updates here, and know that I want to stay connected to all my warrior women!

Looks sooo good! Our kitchen is being remodeled, so I've been without an oven for a month. I think tomorrow is a good day for some crockpot soup😋

Thanks for checking on me @Roberta !! I am having a good weekend, all-in-all. I've been busy cooking and hosting a family reatreat group of 35 people here at our camp. I have had better control with alcohol the last week. Reaching for Perrier Seltzer water in a bottle helps me feel like I'm having a nice beverage. Hey, friend! Good to see your updates too! I am not on facebook for a personal page anymore, but our camp has one - Moneto Camp & Retreat Center. We're about an hour southeast of Indianapolis in Nashville, Indiana. The camp has 3 good sized lodges, a set of 3 cabins with bath house, a Sabbatical Inn building with 5 motel-style rooms and a kitchen, a few RV hookups, and space for tent camping. We've got a pool, rock climbing wall, and archery for activities, as well as LOTS of trails for hiking. Feel free to give me a call or email for any other questions or stopping by for a tour. Thank you so much! Yes, it has been a big adjustment. My husband's work picked up recently too, so I've been handling all the mowing. It takes me about 15 hrs per week to get it all done. It's a beautiful place though, and a pool to use is a big perk!
